Master the Tools of the Trade

Our veteran members will walk you through our most popular digital fabrication tools:

• 3D Printing: Learn the path from a 3D model to a physical object. We’ll use UltiMaker Cura to "slice" a model and start a small print, showing you the exact settings that lead to success.

• Laser Cutting with Glowforge: See how to go from a digital design to a finished piece in minutes. We’ll use the Glowforge app to design and cut a custom project, demonstrating how to handle materials like wood and acrylic.

• CNC Carving: Get an introduction to the X-Carve & Easel. We’ll provide a walkthrough of the software and hardware, showing you how to set up a simple carve and watch the machine precisely mill material away.

• Vinyl & Papercraft: Master the Silhouette Cameo Pro. Learn to use the software to cut vinyl, cardstock, and fabric for everything from custom decals to textile arts.

How It Works

1. Join Us: Sign up as a supporting member.

2. Get Trained: We’ll pair you with a veteran maker for a one-on-one session during our regular member hours, so you get focused attention right away. As more new members join, we’ll schedule group workshops so you can learn alongside your fellow makers.

3. Start Creating: Get the access and support you need to build anything you can imagine.
